“Cat Ball” is, of course, the most effective method for vertical systems, using live fish as bait. The lead has a flat bottom. This allows the bait to be presented on the bottom without making noise. Two stainless steel eyes protruding at a 90-degree angle provide excellent points for attaching the leader and bait, and allow the bait to be quickly lowered to the desired depth.
